FAQ's
Where is the
Weayaya Festival site located?
The festival site is located at 2008 TWP
RD 414.
From Hwy#2 - south from Edmonton, turn
off at Hwy#53 (Rimbey), west to Hwy #20,
12 km south of Rimbey to TWP RD 414,
west .7 km to main gate.
North from Calgary, turn off at Hwy# 11
to Sylvan Lake, north on Hwy#20, 12 km
north of Bentley to TWP RD 414, west to
main gate.
What should I
bring?
The show goes on, rain
or shine! You should be
prepared for the
"uncertain vagaries" of
our Alberta climate -
there is no such thing
as bad weather, just
inappropriate clothing!!
Seating is festival
style, please bring your
own chairs, blankets,
tarps etc. and be
mindful of your
neighbours' comfort when
setting up.
You are encouraged to
bring your own
meals/snacks and dishes,
cutlery etc. Washing-up
facilities are provided,
as well as a public BBQ
and picnic area.
Are pets
allowed?
NO. Service dogs are
permitted, but they must
be registered and
designated as such, and
kept on leash at all
times. There are
boarding facilities and
pet friendly campgrounds
in the area, contact us
if you need info.
Are campfires
allowed?
A public fire pit is
located south-east of
main stage, firewood is
supplied. Open fires at
campsites are not
allowed, but portable
propane - fuelled units
are acceptable.
Is smoking
allowed?
A smoking section is
provided, no smoking is
allowed outside this
area as we must be
mindful of our prairie
environment. It only
takes one spark to set
off a wild fire! Inhale
what you wish, but
please use the "butt
buckets."
No ATMs on
site.
